· It's up to you to decide how documents should be indexed, that is, which parts of a document (filename, document body - regular keywords, meta keywords, meta description, document title) are ranked higher or lower, or are completely ignored.
· The search scripts are executed on the server-side, therefore the pages generated by the script are compatible with all browsers on the client side (note: the only exception is the offline search which is executed on the client side and requires an MS Windows-based system).
· Search engines will work both with frame-based or frameless configurations. You can have the search box, search results and target URLs displayed in any frame you like (or in a new window).
· At every moment you can preview and test the search engine by using the preview window, which thanks to the offline search offers the possibility of executing the actual search just the way it will work and look when uploaded to the web server. · The crawling module (which is one of the possible ways to index your website) is based on multi-threading technology which simultaneously downloads multiple documents, ensuring high indexing performance with large websites.

· Search Engine Studio can use robots.txt to exclude areas of a website which will not be indexed. You can also use a number of other options to filter out documents / website sections.
· Possibility to use Search Engine Studio Service (sold separately): Search Engine Studio Service is an NT Service that can manage creation and update of your search engines automatically, even when you are not logged on your system account (important if e.g. your system reboots). This way, once you set up the service, you can have your search engines updated, depending on your settings, on the selected days time or as soon as the contents of a folder/its subfolders change. This allows you to easily manage all your Search Engine Studio tasks with a very easy-to-use user interface.
· You can install the search engine on your existing hosting server, whether Windows or Unix based. There's no need to host the search on another server.
· Because Search Engine Studio uses its own database engine optimized for the searching purposes, there is NO setup required on server. All you need to do is upload the files created by the program (or even have the program do it for you!) and the search is ready to be used!
