The NewsList application was designed to be a Win32 console utility for retrieving a list of Usenet newsgroups available on a particular NNTP server. It uses the NNTP protocol (RFC 977) to obtain a list of groups available on the specified newsserver(s). Here are some key features of "NewsList":

· Can read list of servers to check from a file or single server from the command line
· Status messages written to screen. Can be redirected to file
· List of groups can be written to a file. If checking multiple servers, data for each can be written to individual files or all to one large file.
